Stewardship 2017
We asked the people who attended service last Sunday to share, in a few words, what they love about our church and why they support our church.
If you did not get a chance to come to church on Sunday, here’s an opportunity to write to Pastor Lou at revlouie@aol.com, and share your feelings about why you love this church and why you support the church. Thanks!
Hospitality Volunteer
We are in need of a volunteer to provide Hospitality for Sunday, November 13th. If you can help us with this please call the church office at 201-891-0511. Thank you!
Ḟaithworks
Dear church families, it’s that time of the year for daylight saving time again.
Remember to set your clock back one hour this Saturday, November 5 before going to bed to claim that wonderful extra hour of sleep on Sunday morning!
This Sunday we will have Communion. Children and youth are invited to be at the church at 9:45 am to participate in the opening part of the worship service and to join in the Bible, Flame, Water, Stole processional.
Our focus Bible reading is Luke 20:27–38. One day, Jesus was approached by a group of Sadducees — religious leaders who did not believe in the resurrection. They were trying to trick Jesus into agreeing that there was no resurrection so they asked Jesus a question about divorce and heaven. This scripture reading contains a teaching about our eternal lives, and the equality of all of God’s children in that realm, married and unmarried – quite contrary to the realities of the society at that time. Take courage, stand firm, keep the faith, focus on what really matters this is the message of this week’s Bible reading. It speaks powerfully as a reminder that we are not alone, and that there is new life possible and available to us if we are faithful and intentional about our relationships with God and one another. The message therefore is to encourage one another and be strong in faith and spirit.
Children will be excused from service after their Conversation with Pastor Lou in the worship service, but will come back to share Communion with their families and friends. Childcare will be available for children 5 years and under in the 2nd floor classrooms.
Upcoming Events and activities

November- Saturday 26: Family time to decorate the Christmas tree in the Covenant room as we sing carols, make decorations and exchange cookies, hot chocolate and other treats. 3 to 5 pm.
